 Ducks & Dungeons is a VR asymmetric couch party game up to four simultaneous players.​ One Player assumes the role of the Dungeon Overlord, and wears the VR SET, while the other three players assume the role of the heroes that'll challenge the dungeon, these players will use their cellphone and the game app to play. While Challenging the Dungeon, the players will have to defeat the overlord in a series of minigames. 

 The connection Desktop - Cellphone, is entirely made through the lan connection, as soon as the cellphone is connected on the same network as the desktop, the player will be able to connect through the app. While the players are connecting the Overlord(VR User) can spend time on his room, where he can both learn the about the game and get used to the VR Mechanics.

My Contribution to Ducks & Dungeons

  • Designed and documented the rules, objectives, challenges and game design document.

  • Worked on some 3D assets, entirely made with Voxel technology through MagicaVoxel Software.

  • Designed the level both from the Lobby where the Overlord can spend his time as the MiniGame levels.

  • Worked on some pixel art assets such as the slingshot, and other UI elements, which were made through PixelArt

  • Managed the team, setting sprints, deadlines and tasks.

  • Presented the Pitch for the project to the class.

  • Created the Narrative to the Ducks & Dungeons world.

What i learned with Ducks & Dungeons

  • Developed my leadership skills.

  • Learned how to design a VR game, the rules and limitations of this technology and how to increase the player immersion.

  • How to prevent Motion Sickness in VR Games.

  • How to 3D Model in Magica Voxel, using Voxels.
